Your orthodontist will assess your teeth, take X-rays, and determine if traditional braces are the right fit for you.
Small metal brackets are bonded to the front of each tooth, serving as anchors for the wires.
The archwire is threaded through the brackets and secured with elastic bands, providing the gentle pressure needed to move teeth.
Every 4-8 weeks, your orthodontist will tighten the wire and adjust the bands to continue guiding your teeth into alignment.
After treatment, braces are removed, and you’ll receive a custom retainer to maintain your new smile.
